Can you tell me about your pet peeves?

Pet peeves? What is that? What does that/the word mean? I haven't heard about the word. Can you tell me the meaning of pet peeve?
Something makes me uncomfortable/annoyed Something that you don't like/hate
being late, speaking strictly/too directly, spitting on the street, talking loudly in public places, swearing, complaining without any actions, showing off

I don't like/hate when people use their smartphone or talk in theater. I don't like/hate when I see people use their smartphone or talk louldly in theater.

I heard that / My father was singing in the livingroom
I heard that my father was singing in the livingroom -> 아빠가 거실에서 노래를 하고 있다더라 (=소식을 들은 것)
I heard my father singing -> 아빠가 거실에서 노래하는 걸 들었다
나는 엄마가 울고 있는 걸 봤다 I saw that / my mother was crying I saw that my mother was crying
I saw my mother crying -> 나는 엄마가 울고 있는 걸 봤다

It wasn't romantic -> 로맨틱하지 않았다 (매우 담백한 사실) It wasn't all romantic -> 로맨틱하지만은 않았다 (다 그런건 아니었다)
